ABOUT COMMISSIONS I am always happy to consider commissions and prefer to do them in watercolour, drawing media or pastel. For commissioned portraits, I prefer to have several photographs available for study. I appreciate having an opportunity to see the subject 'in person,' as the more familiarity I have, the stronger the final painting. I will work from a single photograph, but patrons should be aware that when provided with a single photograph, the end result will be a painting of that photograph. In short, the more information I have about the portrait subject, the better. I am often available to take photographs of local portrait subjects for purposes of my own research. Commissioned paintings of other subjects, for example horses or scenics, are happily accepted if the desired result is in keeping with my painting style. Commissioned works are delivered hinge-mounted on acid-free foam backing with a single, neutral-colored mat. Decorative framing is not included.
