ABOUT ART INSTRUCTION
I offer private and small group instruction in drawing: media and technique;
pastel (oil & soft); colored pencil
and watercolour painting
to adults and children,fourth grade and older.
All Art Lessons are conducted in my home in the Tanglewood
area of Tuscany, in NW Calgary.

ABOUT ART INSTRUCTION FOR CHILDREN
The art program is centered around drawing skills, but I vary the way in which
the drawing skills are learned
to keep the youngsters interested. Sometimes, we
do traditional drawing with pen and ink or pencil and stomp.
Usually, drawing
skills are incorporated into a number of different media -- sometimes pastel
(chalk or oil), sometimes colored pencil,
other times watercolor, and often,
I use a multi-media approach.
The instruction is project-oriented so that the youngster has a product for
his/her efforts to take home.
Periodically, we mat the artwork for them as an
extra reward. Usually, we begin a new project
every two-three weeks. The participating
youngsters most often choose subject matter,
with animals being the favorite
choice of the younger ones. Older students learn more
specific media technique,
composition and portraiture.

ART INSTRUCTION FOR ADULTS
Instruction for adults is available in Drawing media and techniques and Watercolour painting
.
It is recommended that watermedia students plan their lessons for 90 minutes, every other week.
For drawing students, 60 minutes weekly has proven to be the best schedule.
On a rotating schedule, I offer small group instruction organized on a 'per occassion' or
'per class' basis.
Minimum/Maximum attendance is 5 adults.

Lesson times may be scheduled for Tuesday or Wednesday. Summer lessons need to work around my
travel schedule.

PRIVATE INSTRUCTION, Children -- $225.00/Month (4x60-minute lessons)(6th MONTH IS 1/2 price!!!)
SMALL GROUP INSTRUCTION, Children (4 students)--$100./session (4 weeks)-Tuesdays or Wednesdays
PRIVATE INSTRUCTION, Adults -- $225.00/Month (4x60-minutes--INCLUDING any 3-4 hour courses taken as private instruction)
(6th MONTH IS 1/2 price!!!)
PRIVATE WATERCOLOUR INSTRUCTION, Adults -- $150.00 for 2-90-minute lessons (6th MONTH 1/2 price!!!)
3 & 4-hour workshops--$130.00 per participant (must have 4 participants - adults, adults with children or older youngsters)
